Adult ADHD Educational Group in Halifax

Helping You Understand an Adult ADHD Diagnosis in Nova Scotia

Adult ADHD group Nova Scotia
At Green Leaf, we recognize that receiving an ADHD diagnosis as an adult often comes with both clarity and new questions.

Understanding what ADHD means at this stage of life is an important step toward building strategies for success in school, work, relationships, and everyday living.

"Focus & Flourish for Adults with ADHD" is a single-session, post-diagnosis, small group meeting designed specifically for young adults (ages 18–25).

Led by one of our psychologists, this session provides evidence-based education on ADHD, practical strategies for managing symptoms, and an opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences.

You will leave with a clearer understanding of your diagnosis, as well as tools and resources to help you navigate the unique challenges and opportunities that come with ADHD in young adulthood.

Book Halifax teen therapy appointment.
Who is it For?
The session is for individuals ages 18-25 who have been diagnosed with ADHD. The reason we have selected this age range is that it is typically a period of transition (e.g., with regard to living arrangements, education, relationships, etc.). It is also a period during which responsibilities tend to increase; both of these factors tend to exacerbate ADHD symptoms.
What Does the Session Include?
Focus and Flourish is a one-time, one hour group education session focused on providing information on ADHD to promote understanding of the disorder, as well as realistic behavioural strategies to implement in order to help you “focus and flourish.”

The session provides:

  • Psychoeducation on ADHD and its impacts
  • Practical strategies to manage symptoms
  • Information on self-advocacy and self-compassion
  • A supportive group environment
  • A take home resource package with ADHD-friendly tools for organization, emotion regulation, and success in daily life
